National Gallery Global Limited (NGG) is a commercial company established to provide revenue for the National Gallery from a range of operations including Retail, Publishing, Marketing, Commercial Services, E-Commerce, Venue Hire and Catering. Our work enhances the visitor experience and helps to safeguard some of the country’s most valuable works of art. The Retail team makes a key contribution towards achieving the commercial objectives of NGG. 

We have part time vacancies for Retail Assistant, based in one of the National Gallery’s retail shops. The details are: 

  •  Part time – Fri - Sun 15 hours per week (5 hours per day)

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a commercial retail environment and a genuine love of selling, together with excellent customer service skills. The candidate will also be sales focused and driven to achieving store targets without hard selling. An interest in art and art history is an advantage.

The National Gallery is looking for several Guest Experience Hosts to join the National Gallery during an exciting period, as we welcome guests to commemorate our bicentenary with a year filled with high profile exhibitions and openings.

In this role, you will connect guests with great art, the Gallery building, and our people in ways best suited to their needs. Understanding and anticipating the varying motivations of different audiences, you will work closely with other frontline teams to build on traditional elements of wayfinding and sales to deliver a seamless, quality guest experience, driving engagement, revenue, and repeat visits.

A unique opportunity awaits an experienced and dynamic Travel Trade Sales Manager to join the National Gallery during an exciting period, as we commemorate our bicentenary with a year filled with high profile exhibitions and openings.

In this role, you'll promote the National Gallery as a destination to travel agencies, tour operators and group organisers by leveraging your extensive travel trade expertise to craft and execute a comprehensive annual sales strategy. Building robust relationships and keenly identifying opportunities for revenue growth will be central to your responsibilities. Drawing from your prior experience in similar positions, you'll adeptly navigate sales targets while providing insightful reports on performance. Your proficiency in devising, implementing, and assessing travel trade business plans will be instrumental, as you pinpoint areas for commercial growth.
