Vacancies for Retail Assistants 

Full-time and part-time, permanent and fixed-term

£11.05 per hour + benefits

National Gallery Global Limited (NGG) is a commercial company established to provide revenue for the National Gallery from a range of operations including Retail, Publishing, Marketing, Commercial Services, E-Commerce, Venue Hire and Catering. Our work enhances the visitor experience and helps to safeguard some of the country’s most valuable works of art. The Retail team makes a key contribution towards achieving the commercial objectives of NGG.

We have permanent and fixed-term vacancies for Retail Assistants both full-time and part-time, based in one of the National Gallery’s retail shops. The details are: 

Full-time/ permanent:

  • 37.5 hours per week to be worked on a fully flexible basis, 7.5 hours per day.

Part-time/ permanent:

  • 25 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday, 5 hours per day.

Part-time/ permanent:

  • 15 hours per week to be worked Friday lates, Saturday and Sunday, 5 hours per day.

Part-time/ fixed term ending 31.1.23:

  • 25 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday, 5 hours per day.
  • 15 hours per week to be worked on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, 5 hours per day.

The successful candidates will have proven experience in a commercial retail environment and a genuine love of selling, together with excellent customer service skills. They will also be sales focused and driven to achieve store targets without hard selling. An interest in art and art history is an advantage.

Retail Assistant - Job Description

 

Vacancy for Membership Sales Assistant (x2)

Starting September 2022

Fixed term for 6 months with the option to extend for a further 6 months

 

National Gallery Global Ltd (NGG) has an exciting opportunity for a Membership Sales Assistant.

We are looking for candidates experienced in achieving sales while providing excellent customer service. The primary focus will be on upselling Memberships to visitors for our busy Lucian Freud and Winslow Homer exhibitions.

Reporting to the Membership and Commercial Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that agreed membership sales targets are met. Additional duties may include dealing with customer queries both by telephone and email as required.

The successful candidates will have exemplary customer-facing skills. You will be a skilled and engaging communicator, with a strong work ethic. You will have experience in successfully meeting sales targets and a working knowledge of the Tessitura database and ticketing system or a similar CRM system.
