National Gallery Global Limited (NGG) is a commercial company established to provide revenue for the National Gallery from a range of operations including Retail, Publishing, Marketing, Commercial Services, E-Commerce, Venue Hire and Catering. Our work enhances the visitor experience and helps to safeguard some of the country’s most valuable works of art. The Retail team makes a key contribution towards achieving the commercial objectives of NGG. 

We have part time vacancies for Retail Assistant, based in one of the National Gallery’s retail shops. The details are: 

•  Part time – Fri - Sun 15 hours per week (5 hours per day)

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a commercial retail environment and a genuine love of selling, together with excellent customer service skills. The candidate will also be sales focused and driven to achieving store targets without hard selling. An interest in art and art history is an advantage.

The National Gallery is looking for several Guest Experience Hosts to join the National Gallery during an exciting period, as we welcome guests to commemorate our bicentenary with a year filled with high profile exhibitions and openings.

In this role, you will connect guests with great art, the Gallery building, and our people in ways best suited to their needs. Understanding and anticipating the varying motivations of different audiences, you will work closely with other frontline teams to build on traditional elements of wayfinding and sales to deliver a seamless, quality guest experience, driving engagement, revenue, and repeat visits.

Guest Experience Host -  Job Description

• Full Time, permanent

The National Gallery has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales & Marketing Manager to support the Hospitality & Events team to drive revenue growth through venue hire of our stunning spaces.Reporting to the Head of Hospitality & Events, you will take the lead in delivering an effective sales and marketing plan to maximise revenue, strategically allocating the marketing budget to ensure the highest possible return on investment.  You will lead manage and inspire the sales team to achieve and exceed targets with a positive can do attitude.

As the National Gallery celebrates it’s 200th birthday and we complete our £85million capital build projects by May 2025, with new and exciting venue hire opportunities offering even better event experiences at the Gallery it really is a very exciting time.
