Vacancy for Retail Assistant
- Part time, 3 month Fixed Term Contract
National Gallery Global Limited (NGG) is a commercial company established to provide revenue for the National Gallery from a range of operations including Retail, Publishing, Marketing, Commercial Services, E-Commerce, Venue Hire and Catering. Our work enhances the visitor experience and helps to safeguard some of the country’s most valuable works of art. The Retail team makes a key contribution towards achieving the commercial objectives of NGG.
We have part time vacancies for Retail Assistant, based in one of the National Gallery’s retail shops. The working hours would be 15 hours per week, 5 hours per day, working Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a commercial retail environment and a genuine love of selling, together with excellent customer service skills. The candidate will also be sales focused and driven to achieving store targets without hard selling. An interest in art and art history is an advantage.

The National Gallery is looking for a Guest Experience Host to join the National Gallery during an exciting period, as we welcome guests to commemorate our bicentenary with a year filled with high profile exhibitions and openings.
In this role, you will connect guests with great art, the Gallery building, and our people in ways best suited to their needs. Understanding and anticipating the varying motivations of different audiences, you will work closely with other frontline teams to build on traditional elements of wayfinding and sales to deliver a seamless, quality guest experience, driving engagement, revenue, and repeat visits.

The working hours for this role will be 22.5 hours per week, working 7.5 hours per day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
