It’s an exciting time to join the National Gallery as we have recently opened Supporters’ House, an exclusive new venue in Trafalgar Square, dedicated to Gallery supporters and their guests. We are looking for a new Host to join our team of social, outgoing individuals who value personal interactions and have a passion for delivering the very best in service within a membership and hospitality environment.
As the first point of contact for guests visiting the House, you will be a visible and approachable presence, building strong relationships with House Members, Patrons, Donors and Corporate Partners alike. With a focus on delivering exceptional service you’ll foster a collaborative, dynamic team culture in partnership with loyalty and development colleagues, the catering team and security provider. You will be responsible for being knowledgeable on all aspects of the Gallery and understand and anticipate the varying motivations of different supporter groups to deliver a seamless, quality guest experience, driving engagement, revenue, and repeat visits.
The role is full time (37.5 hours) across a 2 week rota pattern, Monday to Sunday.

The candidate will also be sales focused and driven to achieving store targets without hard selling. An interest in art and art history is an advantage.

National Gallery Global has an exciting opportunity for a Brand Licensing & Picture Library Manager (UK Market) to drive partnerships and commercial activity across the UK, bringing the Gallery’s world-renowned collection to new audiences.
This role supports the development and growth of the Gallery’s licensing and image rights business, with a particular focus on UK-based licensees and retailers. Working as part of National Gallery Global, you will be responsible for managing relationships, identifying new opportunities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring alignment with brand values.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Department and across departments such as Retail, Creative and Communications to deliver projects that blend creativity with commercial success. You will also mentor the Assistant Manager and help shape a dynamic, collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate stock records and manage product data within our systems
- Create product details and raise purchase orders
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and product availability
- Support the development and launch of new merchandise inspired by exhibitions and collections
What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills, highly numerical and analytical
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning in house inventory systems
- Experience in retail (museum or heritage setting a plus)
- Passion for arts, culture, and delivering exceptional visitor experiences

We have a full time vacancy for a Retail Assistant, based in one of the National Gallery’s retail shops. This would be working 37.5 hours per week, working 7.5 hours per day, on a fully flexible rota Monday-Sunday.
