HENI Editions, in collaboration with the National Gallery, are delighted to present two limited edition prints of Hans Holbein the Younger's The Ambassadors from 1533.
These Diasec-mounted latex prints have been produced using the latest digital photographic technology. This is the first time in almost 500 years that we are able to achieve such an exact replica of Holbein's work.In the National Gallery Collection since 1890, The Ambassadors is a masterpiece of the Renaissance, famous for its rich symbolism and anamorphic skull. These prints reproduce Holbein's work with an unprecedented level of detail.
The edition is published in two sizes; HENI Editions NG 2A recreates the painting in 1:1 scale at 207 x 209.5 cm, while HENI Editions NG 2B measures 103.5 x 104.8 cm. Edition size 250, each numbered. 103.5 x 104.8cm, Diasec-mounted latex print back-mounted onto aluminium. Published in 2018.
